New Projects Expected to Create More than $909 Million in New Investments

Today Governor John R. Kasich announced the approval of assistance for 12 projects set to create 1,454 new jobs and retain 3,341 jobs statewide. During its monthly meeting, the Ohio Tax Credit Authority (TCA) reviewed economic development proposals brought to the board by JobsOhio and its regional partners. Collectively, the projects are expected to result in more than $69 million in new payroll, and spur more than $909 million in investments across Ohio.

Projects approved by the TCA include:

NORTHEAST

Everstream Solutions LLC, City of Cleveland (Cuyahoga Co.), expects to create 50 full-time positions, generating $3.8 million in new annual payroll and retaining $4.5 million in existing payroll as a result of the company's consolidation project in the City of Cleveland (Cuyahoga Co.). Everstream Solutions is a network service provider. The TCA approved a 2 percent, seven-year Job Creation Tax Credit for this project.

Nidec Motor Corporation, Village of Brooklyn Heights (Cuyahoga Co.), expects to create 29 full-time positions, generating $2.1 million in new annual payroll and retaining $9.8 million in existing payroll as a result of the company's consolidation project in the Village of Brooklyn Heights (Cuyahoga Co.). Nidec manufactures commercial, industrial, and appliance motors and controls. The TCA approved a 1.5 percent, seven-year Job Creation Tax Credit for this project.

Progressive Casualty Insurance Company, Mayfield Village (Cuyahoga Co.), expects to create 15 full-time positions, generating $1.5 million in new annual payroll as a result of the company's expansion project in Mayfield Village (Cuyahoga Co.). Progressive Casualty Insurance is an underwriter of personal and commercial automobile and home insurance. The TCA approved a 100 percent, 15-year data center sales tax exemption for this project.

Relink Medical, Twinsburg Township (Summit Co.), expects to create 30 full-time positions, generating $1.8 million in new annual payroll and retaining $1.7 million in existing payroll as a result of the company's expansion project in Twinsburg Township (Summit Co.). Relink Medical purchases out-of-service medical assets, refurbishes the products and resells them. The TCA approved a 1.368 percent, six-year Job Creation Tax Credit for this project.

Titanium Metals Corporation (Timet), City of Bedford Heights (Cuyahoga Co.), expects to create 40 full-time positions, generating $4 million in new annual payroll as a result of the company's new project in the City of Bedford Heights (Cuyahoga Co.). Timet provides titanium for the aerospace industry and U.S. military. The TCA approved a 1.747 percent, eight-year Job Creation Tax Credit for this project.

SOUTHWEST

QuEST Global Services-NA, Inc., City of Sharonville (Hamilton Co.), expects to create 60 full-time positions, generating $3.9 million in new annual payroll and retaining $4.5 million in existing payroll as a result of the company's expansion project in the City of Sharonville (Hamilton Co.). QuEST Global is multi-disciplinary engineering firm. The TCA approved a 1.898 percent, seven-year Job Creation Tax Credit for this project.

The Kroger Co., City of Monroe (Butler Co.), expects to create 410 full-time positions, generating $19 million in new annual payroll as a result of the company's new project in the city of Monroe (Butler Co.). The Kroger Co. is a grocery retailer. The TCA approved a 1.362 percent, eight-year Job Creation Tax Credit for this project.

SOUTHEAST

PACCAR Inc. (Kenworth), Green Township (Ross Co.), expects to create 100 full-time positions, generating $6.6 million in new annual payroll and retaining $155.4 million in existing payroll as a result of the company's expansion project in Green Township (Ross Co.). Kenworth manufactures heavy- and medium-duty trucks. The TCA approved a 1.013 percent, eight-year Job Creation Tax Credit for this project.

CENTRAL

NEX Transport Inc., Cities of Bellefontaine (Logan Co.), Delaware (Delaware Co.) and East Liberty (Logan Co.), expects to create 200 full-time positions, generating $7.3 million in new annual payroll and retaining $22.7 million in existing payroll as a result of the company's expansion project in the Cities of Bellefontaine (Logan Co.), Delaware (Delaware Co.) and East Liberty (Logan Co.). NEX Transport provides logistics and supply chain solutions for a variety of industries. The TCA approved a 1.318 percent, seven-year Job Creation Tax Credit for this project.

Trinity Health Corporation, City of Columbus (Franklin Co.), expects to create 450 full-time positions, generating $14.4 million in new annual payroll and retaining $8.2 million in existing payroll as a result of the company's consolidation project in the City of Columbus (Franklin Co.). Trinity Health operates continuing care locations, including home care, hospice and senior living facilities. The TCA approved a 1.395 percent, eight-year Job Creation Tax Credit for this project.

LOCATION TBD

Everstream Solutions LLC, (Location TBD), expects to create 40 full-time positions, generating $3 million in new annual payroll as a result of the company's new project in a to-be-determined location. Everstream Solutions is a network service provider. The TCA approved a 1.864 percent, seven-year Job Creation Tax Credit for this project.

Montauk Innovations LLC, (Location TBD), expects to create 30 full-time positions, generating $2.5 million in new annual payroll as a result of the company's new project in a to-be-determined location. Montauk Innovations provides internet-related products and services, including advertising and search engine technologies, cloud computing, software and hardware systems. The TCA approved a 100 percent, 15-year data center sales tax exemption for this project.
